The main goal of our lab is to develop new safe and effective therapies against poor prognosis cancers for which treatment options are limited. Specifically, our lab is focused on harnessing a patient's own natural killer cells (NK cells) - immune cells present in our bodies that are naturally licensed to kill tumor cells - to treat cancer.

 

Over the past five years, our extensive translational research using clinically relevant models of ovarian, breast and lung cancers has demonstrated significant promise for our NK cell-based therapies against these solid tumors that are conventionally difficult to treat.
