One of the oldest broadsheet newspapers in Ontario, Guelph Mercury, publishes an article on the findings of a former PhD student from the Ashkar lab, Nicole Barra, titled "Guelph's scientist's research provides clue in how to fight obesity." The article was in reference to her 2012 paper, Interleukin-15 treatment induces weight loss independent of lymphocytes.
