Talha Yuksel

Undergraduate Student, Level IV​

Talha Yuksel is a 4th year biochemistry student at McMaster University. He discovered his love for immunology during his first year of studies while working on a project relating to CAR-T cells. He was excited by the fact that the body's own defense mechanisms could be used to solve one of the most challenging health problems of our day. Talha is especially fascinated by how our immune system can be used to fight diseases like cancer. He's excited to work on his own thesis project elucidating the role of iron in NK cell metabolism.

Outside of his studies, Talha enjoys playing music, a hobby that helps him relax and be creative.
