MJ is a fourth year Honours Health Sciences student at McMaster University. She first learnt about immunology in high school which pushed her to pursue this passion in university. Fascinated by the immunological processes and their overwhelmingly complex pathways, MJ wanted to help make sense of some of them by involving herself in innate immunity research. She is currently working with Liz to learn more about the interactions between microglia and T cells in Zika virus infection, as well as bystander T cell activation.
